Level 2 Certified Infrared Thermographer® - Online Distance Learning

Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer® - Distance Learning is a 32 hour online course for the quantitative application of infrared thermal imaging.  Level I Certification is a prerequisite for this course.

Course topics include: calibration of equipment, cross temperature verification with contact temperature equipment, advanced operation of equipment, advanced infrared theory, use of IR filters and IR windows, temperature limits, repair priority ratings, report generation for quantitative thermography, and more.

Applications include: electrical, mechanical, refractory, rotating equipment, building envelopes, flat roofs, and underground piping.

The course tuition includes 24 hour online access for 60 days to course materials, a Student Reference Manual, course completion verification, and course material shipping.

After successful course completion, students are eligible to take the Certified Infrared Thermographer® exam. This exam can be taken online by video conference.

Certification is issued to students who achieve a score of 80% or higher on the exam.  Infraspection Institute certification does not expire.  There are no additional requirements for Infraspection Institute certification after successful completion of the exam.

For NDT personnel certification, our Level I, II, and III Certified Infrared Thermographer^® courses also meet all ASNT requirements for training.
